“Las doce uvas de la suerte.” -The twelve grapes of luck (in Spanish)

It’s a long-lived Spanish tradition to eat 12 grapes, one for each chime of the clock at midnight on New Year’s Eve (or for each month of the year) to bring good luck and prosperity for the coming year. It was our first time learning and participating in this tradition, and it was definitely a memorable experience. Thanks to the Alvarez family for having us at your NYE celebration at B Bar and Grill! We had a great time ringing in the new year with your family and friends. Cheers to a new year full of laughter, hope, and possibilities!!

Yelp organized a Giftacular Holiday Market at 82 Mercer (New York, NY) with 100+ handpicked retailers and crafty local designers to sell their swanky wares. For me, it was ETSY HEAVEN! From handmade jewelry to adorable winter accessories, the event was perfect for last minute holiday shoppers and a great way to support local small businesses. I couldn’t help but splurge on a few goodies and my favorite–a leopard print bangle! As usual, Yelp events are well-planned and a lot of fun. Check out the festive photos below!

You know you have awesome friends when they rent you a photo booth for your birthday. Held at the cozy Characters in NYC, Jeanine’s birthday party had food, drinks, cake, photo booth, and even a live band with a guitarist dressed as Santa! It was a super intimate and fun night. Happy Birthday to the All Time 30th Birthday Champion–Jeanine!!

We can’t get enough of holiday celebrations! Held at the Altman Building in NYC, the holiday party for Haymarket Media was a blast! Open bar, hors d’oeuvres, carving stations, and pasta stations–all in an elegant lounge setting with classy white furniture and red uplights. With the help of our holiday props, the guests loosened up and got creative with the poses. They had so much fun that they extended the party for an hour!

‘Tis the Season to Celebrate!

The holiday party for Sharp Entertainment was held at Happy Ending in NYC, an interesting little lounge which used to be a massage parlor. There was karaoke, open bar, and food for the attendees, and of course, our photo booth to capture all the fun. Not sure if it was the open bar, but the crowd was crazy and went wild with the poses (and our snowman). Check out the awesome photos below!

Z100’s Jingle Ball All Access Lounge at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC was AWESOME! We were completely mesmerized by Gym Class Heroes, The Script, Meg and Liz, and Mindless Behavior’s performances on stage. We are so grateful for this opportunity and to work with AT&T to help promote Samsung’s new tablet and devices on the AT&T Network. Thank you to those who came to our booth for a photobooth session and signed up for the gift raffle. A big congrats to the lucky winners of the Jingle Ball tickets and the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Tablet!

The attendees loved our big box of props to fit the theme—inflatable guitars, microphones, and fun Lady Gaga wigs, shades, and gloves. And for the guests feeling the holiday spirit–Santa hats, mistletoe, reindeer ears, elf ears, and red and green boas. This amazing 6-hour event flew by like a breeze! Check out the photos below.

Held at the Mansion at Woodside Acres (Muttontown, NY), Ching and Lyle’s wedding reception was ALL about fun and dancing. They are both very talented dancers and so are a lot of their guests.  There was a first dance, second dance, money pinning dance, and even a hopping-over-bamboo-sticks dance. We felt like we were watching “So You Think You Can Dance” with an awesome cultural spin! Ching and Lyle, we loved how you kept the tradition alive and celebrated your big day with meaningful cultural touches. Congratulations again!!

A couple that chooses Babyface’s “Every Time I Close My Eyes” as their first dance song earns extra points in my book! Jen and Matt’s beautiful wedding was held at The One and Only Westmount Country Club (Woodland Hills, NJ) on the day after Thanksgiving. Everyone was in a good mood and filled with the holiday (or turkey) spirit–it was the perfect post-Thanksgiving celebration! We are so thankful to be able to work with amazing couples like Jen and Matt. Congratulations again you two!!

I’m a huge sucker for unique and fun details at a wedding and Kathy and Sal’s wedding had an AWESOME animal theme. Held at the Schiff Family Great Hall (once a lion house!) at the Bronx Zoo in Bronx, NY, they went all out with the theme: animal table numbers, menu cards, invitation, signature drinks, and an urban jungle cake by Sugar Flower Cake Shop. They even used the names of every guest to donate to the Wildlife Conservation Society! How cool and thoughtful is that?!

Kathy and Sal, you are such a sweet couple and thank you for having us at your special celebration. We wish you a lifetime of love, joy, and happy memories with your furry friends!!

It’s so meaningful for us to be able to bring our photo booth to our friends’ wedding. We met Angela and Wayne while searching for a wedding photographer last year and are so lucky to have found them by chance! We chatted for hours at our first consultation and it felt like we had been friends for years. Not only are they SUPER talented (check out their portfolio at wayneyuan.com), they are also incredibly genuine and personable. Their first wedding ceremony and reception was held in San Diego, CA a week ago, and they hosted a second reception in Somerset, NJ to celebrate with their family and friends on the east coast. It was an intimate evening of dancing and games, and it even had a special song performance by the couple themselves! We particularly enjoyed the baby photos (even took a few pictures of them, teehee!), the emotional wedding video by stillmotion, and the heartfelt speeches by the dads.
